A Call Out to Artists

106 and York is one of the largest and highly regarded urban youth art festivals in Toronto. As a branch of Manifesto Festival of Community and Culture, this multi-disciplinary event provides a platform for established and emerging talent to showcase their art to a broader audience. Since 2007, 106 & York has exemplified the true culture of Toronto?s urban entertainment sector.

This year, the fifth annual 106 and York Urban Arts Festival?will take place on Saturday, September 17 and will include Culture Shock, a community showcase in Weston Mount Dennis. The full day festival is brought to you in partnership by Urban Arts, Highclass Community and Network Integrated By Street Entertainment (N.I.S.E.).

The festival will provide a positive outlet for members of the Jane/Finch, Rexdale and Weston Mount-Dennis communities to come together and celebrate the artistic talents of local youth artists.

This is your chance to submit an application to be a part of 106 and York Urban Arts Festival 2012. The festival invites all MC?s, Singers, Dancers, Theatre Groups, Spoken Word Artists, Beat Boxers and Visual Artists between the ages of 13-29 to apply.?
If you would are interested in auditioning for 106 and York or Culture Shock, please submit ALL of the following information via email to?Submissions@106andYork.com?by?June 14^th, 2012.
