Adventurers Needed!

Please consider joining this RP

This RP is a fantasy adventure RP centered on a continent called Cre' Est. This world is ever changing and evolving due to the number of conflicts and problems that it now faces, and to many it is a hopeless battle. Despite this, there are still those willing to fight and reclaim the peace that was known in the ancient past and reestablish the order and balance which have since been broken. Are you one of these people? Do you have what it takes to fight for what you believe in, or are you just another who accepts their life the way it is no matter how poor it may be?

Cre' Est is the name of both the continent and the capitol nation of this RP's main world. It's people live in a Kingdom where the King and Queen are but figureheads for a larger and completely foreign power, and their people struggle to maintain a mediocre existence. The wealth of the nation is horded by an unknown enemy, the guards are merciless in their unjust keeping of the nation's "peace" on the streets, the night brings dangers at every turn and in every alley, and those who break the law can expect a painful, public, and long drawn out death at the hands of the "Guardian". This man is officially known as the Adviser to the Royal Family, but despite his humble position he has been observed giving the King and Queen orders and even threatening their well being. Nobody dares to speak of this, lest he discover them and bring a quick end to their ability to speak.

Assassins come in all shapes, sizes, and from all manner of different origins. Some Assassins are simply mercenaries in the employ of politicians who wish to hold their positions of power, while others are freelance who work for nobody but themselves. Others are members of large and powerful organizations, as diverse and unique as snowflakes in true winter. Of the Assassins in the world, none are more famous or more infamous than the Assassins of Te'i Sai. These killers are unlike many of their cousins in the fact that they are ruthless to an extreme most people with a conscience would never dream of being. These killers slaughter men, women, children, elderly and even the sick if it suits their purposes.

Balnace is the centerpoint of the Cre' Ititan culture, but it is one of the things that has been thrown so far out of whack that it has almost completely destroyed what little hope the people have left for restoring their beloved nation to one of peace and prosperity. Today, the main issue is that Te'i Sai has taken over the inner workings of the five nations' people of influence such as their rulers and higher political powers. Each of the five nations: Cre' Est, Veilbrand, Gweynura, Triveila, and Shaharan have all fallen into ruin compared to what they used to be in centuries past. Te'i Sai has all but destroyed the continent and is beginning the process of reshaping it into its own vision of balance and peace, though it is a forced one that none of the people are willing to accept.

And so comes our dilemma!

What can we do to combat this problem?

There is one who has chosen to fight, and ironically, it is one of Te'i Sai's own. "The Red-Eyed Demon", the most feared of Te'i Sai's Assassins, has rebelled against the organization which created him and has already destroyed two of its five branches with the third set squarely in his sights. His mission is simple: Destroy Te'i Sai and let the natural order of things be restored over time. But in order to do this, he will need help from many different people along the way. Warriors who are brave enough to face down Te'i Sai, despite their seemingly invincible Assassins, and who are willing to fight to the end if need be to restore the balance and the peace to their world. No matter your motives, the end result would be a safer world for everyone.

This RP focuses on a small snippet of the life of the Red-Eyed Demon, but will cover an IC time span of approximately two years. There will be few to no time skips except in specific situations, and this RP is expected to run for quite a long time if the right players can be found. If you decide that this RP might be right for you, go ahead and check the information page to get a basic, but still in depth idea of what you would be getting yourself into.

As a bit of extra information, know this before you make your choice: The Assassins of Te'i Sai are the most powerful warriors in this RP world, and no other capacity has what it takes to measure up to them in terms of strength, speed, agility, flexibility, adaptability, and cunning. Whatever your choice of profession may be, know that you are entering a losing battle and that you can be easily outgunned at any time. With this is mind, do you still think you have what it takes to survive? This is part of the RP's difficulty and part of its charm, knowing that at any time your character will find themselves either face to face with death, or running for their lives in a desperate attempt to survive.

Despite the overpowering ferocity and lethality of the Assassins of Te'i Sai, they are still human. One who has a strong knowledge of guns, the bow and arrow, or knows how to sneak up on trained Assassins/operatives will still have a chance to defeat them... Though it is still a slim chance with the gun being your best bet. However, keep in mind that this RP is based on somewhat medieval times, and the basic rifle and pistol are the only guns available to you.

So, does this RP sound challenging enough for you?

To make matters worse for you, if you wish to join you cannot be an Assassin of Te'i Sai nor can your history involve them or their lifestyle in any way. However, if it was as a chance encounter with one of their operatives in which you were either an observer or a target who managed to escape, that would be fine.

Again, part of the difficulty and the charm of this RP is that you're constantly outgunned. All too often I find that players want to be either the most powerful of all or they find ways to defy logic and simple facts of physics and skill to defeat opponents they otherwise should have no hope of defeating. There will be none of that here. If you want to kill or defeat an Assassin from Te'i Sai, you're going to have to think outside of the box because they are going to be stronger, smarter, and in every way more lethal than your character is. Luck is also going to be a big part of this too, as without it you won't get anywhere.

So hopefully I haven't scared you off! We only have two characters right now who are in the process of training for the upcoming fight. We need more warriors who are ready and willing to fight before we can undertake such a journey. I pray that you will understand and hopefully find this RP interesting since you are going to be under a lot of pressure to keep your character alive throughout this RP. Being under the gun and being in an environment where you have to constantly be looking over your shoulder is something that most players aren't used to and who actively avoid it because they don't like the idea of not being in control and they don't like the idea of their character being one who is weak enough to be killed without much effort.

Hopefully, if you've read this far into the post, you're one of those who will understand and accept the challenge that I'm presenting you. Can you deal with having a character who is constantly outgunned in every way? Can you accept the fact that at every turn your character has to watch their back? Can you deal with the kind of pressure I'll be placing on you and your character?

If the answer to those questions is "yes", then click the link at the top of the page to find the RP's homepage and check the character skeleton outline that you'll need to fill out. I'm pretty strict when it comes to details, so be ready to fill out a LONG character profile before being accepted to join!

Cheers!
